Flamingo Straws with Quinn

While Andrew and I were gearing up for Vegas, Quinn was feeling sad she wasn’t going to ride on a plane this time around. So I asked her to help me make these super cute straws for mom’s bachelorette party. Now that the cats out of the bag I can finally share this post and the cute photos of my little helper.

Supplies for the Flamingo Straws

Not only were the straws super easy to make the are super fun to add to any drink. They only require four items and a hot glue gun. This one is awesome because it has a dual temperature feature. For this project, you’ll want to use the low-temperature feature. The items you need are linked here:

Step 1 of the flamingo straws

Step 1: Take a pipe cleaner, trimmed to 4 inches, and wrap it tightly around the straw.

step 2 of the flamingo straws

Step 2: Use your finger to shape the pipe cleaner like the image above.

step 3

Step 3: Use the low-temp glue gun to secure the pipe cleaner to the straw. Work quickly because you will need the glue to still be warm for the next step.

step 4

Step 4: Add the pom pom and the feathers.

Tada! Feel free to get as creative as you’d like! I love the way the straws look with the mix of feathers. If you do make these cute little straws tag me in your photos! I’d love to see them 🙂 Don’t want to make them yourself? I would love to make them and send them to you! Order them through my shop here.
