News Alert! I have landed my dream job of staying at home with my mini! I still can’t quite believe it yet. We have been having all the preschool fun and I wanted to be sure to share some of our adventures with all of you. Prepare yourselves many photos of Quinn are coming.
One of the first days I was at home I mapped out a day to day guide on funs things we wanted to accomplish. This ranges from coconut popsicles to shape hunts to gardening to-dos. One of our favorites so far on the list was our homemade moon sand. It was super easy and once it’s the gift that keeps on giving.
She might not look super happy but oh my gosh she will play with this stuff for 20 minutes at a time. I know you mom’s out there know 20 minutes is a godsend. The Moon Sand is super easy to make with just two ingredients: baby oil and flour! The sand looks just like regular flour until you start playing with it and realize how well it sticks together. We packed ours away in a ziplock freezer bag and it’s kept for over a month now. I do have to pull our pup penny’s husky hair out every now and then.
Want to make it yourself? Check out the video and see below how to make it!
- 1/2 cup baby oil
- 4 cups of flour
- sand play toys, any figurings, spoons and any other sculpting toys
Directions: Add flour to a bowl and mix the oil in! Then enjoy hot coffee while the child plays 😉
