Oath’s Farewell

After months of contemplating, I finally took the leap! I am officially staying home with Quinn. I couldn’t be more excited about it. When Quinn was born I was able to stay home with her for the first year. I loved it more than anything but I felt like becoming a mom right after college, I needed to gain a few years of real-world experience.

I was a marketing director for dry cleaning facility for a year then I moved over to marketing strategy at Yahoo. I learned so, so much in that time and met so many great people. The decision to stay home did not come easily by any means. I am looking forward to more of that time with QB but I oh gosh what am I going to do without adult interaction and the idea of going down to one income is terrifying. In my gut, I know its everything I need. Even if it’s just for a couple of months or even a couple of years, I think the time is going to be lovely.

So my last few days were filled with so many wonderful surprises. A beautiful copper waterbottle from my friend Andrew in Bangalore. The team I worked with gifted me with my favorite almond M&Ms and the sweetest, most delicious cookies! Cats because I love them so much and a shark is a joke from high school that my co-workers loved to tease me about. Gosh, the people made it so incredibly hard to leave Oath (formerly Yahoo). I am so incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity there!

I’ll have so much more time to focus on designing and updating this blog. I hope you’ll be along for the journey!
